Joe de Berker

Joe de Berker has been playing the Drum Kit for over twenty years, and has during that time studied with many teachers.During his career he has played in Brass and Wind bands, theatre productions, solo performances, and in many rock bands.

As well as teaching he also works as a session musician. Joe plays a wide variety of music, but his favourites including, D&B, Latin, Samba, Afro beat, Jazz and Rock.

Some of his favourite drummers include Tony Allan, Steve Gadd, Clive Deamer, Clyde Stubblefield, John 'Jabo'Starks, Bernard Purdie, Zigaboo Mondisiette, John Bonham and Chad Smith.

As well as drumming Joe loves cooking and eating! Watching Anchorman, The Empire Strikes Back and 7 Samurai and being with his friends and family.

Joe has been teaching professionally for over 6 years and teaches students to Grade 8. He is CRB checked.

Tim Faulkner

Tim Faulkner has been playing Drum Kit since the age of nine. During his fifteen year career, he has provided percussion and Drum Kit music for various stage productions, as well as writing and touring with many different rock, fusion and metal bands.

In his spare time he practises, performs and records regularly with his progressive heavy rock band, 'Sons of the Sand', and also writes and records his own live and sequenced Drum and Bass, and Dub-Step.

Some of his biggest inspirations include Brann Dailor, Dave Witte, John Bonham, Will Scharf, JoJo Mayer, Chris Pennie, Mitch Mitchell, Dave Turncrantz and Mario Duplantier.

Besides drumming, Tim likes to spend his time listening to music, drawing, watching films and spending time with friends and family. He also likes to play Guitar and producing his own music. He looks forward to meeting new students and sharring his knowledge and experience of drumming. He is CRB checked.
